Hurricane Milton is now a category 5 hurricane and will remain a large, powerful storm as it moves east across the Gulf of Mexico and approaches the west coast of Florida. A flood watch is in effect for the entire Florida Atlantic service region. While exact impacts to our service region remain uncertain, potential impacts beginning late Tuesday through Thursday include strong wind, significant storm surge, flooding rainfall, and tornadoes.

Florida Atlantic officials are in regular contact with the appropriate local and state agencies. Students, faculty and staff should monitor all communication channels, including the University status page (s7i6.skyupiradio.com/advisory), the University homepage (s7i6.skyupiradio.com), the Florida Atlantic hotline 1-888-8FAUOWL (832-8695), email, text, phone and local media outlets.

If you have general questions, contact the Florida Atlantic Department of Emergency Management (em@skyupiradio.com).
