Housing renewals
Housing Renewals will be February 7th - 14th, 2024 for Fall 2024 – Spring 2025 .
Ending promptly at 5:00 p.m. on February 14th.
All processes are online at housingportal.skyupiradio.com
The housing application and roommate matching with be available online through the Housing Portal which requires the student's NetID and password. Spring residents who renew their housing application DO NOT pay the $100 non-refundable application fee.
Residents will have access to complete a housing application based on their Spring residence hall. The application completion date is NOT a factor for a housing assignment. Residents should complete their housing application based on the dates below:
February 7th starting at 9:00 a.m. | APT, UVA and BPW residents may complete an application. |
February 8th starting at 9:00 a.m. | HPT and IVAN residents may complete an application. |
February 9th starting at 9:00 a.m. | GPT and IVAS residents may compete an application. |
February 12th starting at 9:00 a.m. | IRT and PAR residents may compete an application. |
February 13th starting at 9:00 a.m. | Any spring Boca Raton campus resident may complete an application. |
February 14th ending at 5:00 p.m. | Deadline to complete roommate matching and an application for all Boca Raton Spring residents. |
The Department of Housing & Residential Education is anticipating a high demand for housing for the Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 academic year. We have a limited amount of spaces for returning students for the next academic year on campus. Housing Assignments will be by the resident’s Priority Group and Tuition Deposit Date. NOT by Application date.
- Priority groups are based on the student’s year of entry.
- Within each priority group housing assignments will be determined by the student’s tuition deposit date to the university.
- If they are part of a roommate group, the roommate’s year of entry and tuition deposit date will also be a consideration.
1st Priority Group | Spring residential students who started during Summer and Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 as a first-year student |
2nd Priority Group | Spring residential students who started during 2022 or Spring 2023 and Transfer residential students who started during 2023 or 2024 |
3rd Priority Group | Spring residential students who started during 2021 |
4th Priority Group | Spring residential students who started during 2020 |
5th Priority Group* | Spring residential Graduate students and 2nd bachelor degree students |
*We anticipate students in the 5th priority group will be waitlisted. The waitlist number for Graduate students and 2nd Bachelor degree students will be determined by their acceptance date as a tuition deposit is not required for these students.
Important Dates:
- February 26th: Residents who complete an application during the renewal process will receive their assignment notification or waitlist information.
- March 1th by 5:00 p.m.: Residents may cancel their application and housing assignment without penalty and without cause.
- March 1th after 5:00 p.m.: The Terms and Conditions of the Housing Application apply. All cancellation requests must meet the cancellation conditions outlined in Section 11 of the Housing application Terms and Conditions.

- Parliament Hall Single bedroom a 4 person/2-bathroom suite
- Parliament Hall shared double bedroom in a 4 person/2-bathroom suite
- University Village Single bedroom in a 4 person/1 bath apartment
- University Village shared studio double apartment (shared sleeping area)
- Innovation Village Apartments North Single bedroom in a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment
- Innovation Village Apartments North Single bedroom in a 4 bedroom/2 bath apartment
- Innovation Village Apartments South Single bedroom in a 4 bedroom/2 bath apartment
Steps for your housing application renewal
- Select the 2024 – 2025 Academic year application.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions of the application by completing the DocuSign page with your signature. Select Save and Continue.
- Review your Personal Details and update your cell phone number if needed.
- Update your Emergency Contact.
- Answer all General Questions. This includes if you want to request Gender Inclusive Housing. It is important that your Gender Inclusive housing answer match that of your roommates or you will not be able to match with your roommate.
- Add three Room Type Preferences. Available room preferences are also on our room rates webpage to review in advance.
- Answer the Lifestyle Questions. If you plan to search and match with roommate(s) you must check “Display in Roommate Search results” on the Lifestyle Questions page of the housing application.This allow students to view your profile and request you as a roommate.
- Select your Meal plan, if you added a room preference for Parliament Hall you must select a meal plan.
- Enter your student Z number on the confirmation page to complete your housing application. This is the final step to complete your housing application.
- You will receive an email confirmation after you complete your housing application. Make sure you check your FAU student email.
- If you plan to request a roommate(s) return to the Housing application to start a roommate group or accept roommate requests. You may only add or request roommates who have completed a 2024 – 2025 Academic Year housing application.
